The Reer SilentGuard Kids Capsule Ear Muffs Blue have a single number rating (SNR) of 27, providing reliable protection to sensitive toddler ears. 

For babies & toddlers, their hearing is not yet fully developed making them particularly sensitive to noise. Noises louder than 85 decibels (e.g. airport noises, or fireworks) are harmful to sensitive baby ears, and can cause permanent hearing damage. 

A sound insulation level of 27 SNR means that, on average, the protector reduces the sound intensity by 27 decibels before the sound reaches the eardrums. With the Reer SilentGuard in place, most loud noises such as fireworks or a car honking nearby (over 100 decibels) can be reduced to a harmless level (under 80 decibels). 

This robust ear muffs include an adjustable headband coated with a soft surface material. The headband is adjustable to your child’s head, making it possible for the ear muffs to grow with your child. The inner surface of the headband is padded for very greater comfort.
